About Monica Hughes
Pay attention, capture and share. This has been my motto as I walk through this life. I am a woodworker, artist and photographer. I love to capture the natural world. It is where I find peace and happiness and I hope others do to. Through all my creations I find myself wanting to bring the natural world inside as much as possible and love to share that with my photography.
I started woodworking in 1995 when I was 26 years in old in Boulder, Colorado and never looked back. It has been my life's passion to be a creator. As I have gotten older my passions have extended to other mediums, often combining them. Some of the first things I made when I started woodworking were picture frames, and I still do today to enhance some of my photos. I dabble in ceramics and metal work as well.
